The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role requires an understanding of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and efficient office management skills to ensure smooth operations within the practice. Responsibilities Greet patients upon arrival and manage the front desk operations. Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits while maintaining an organized calendar. Collect and verify patient information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members. Process patient records and maintain accurate documentation in the medical office system. Assist with insurance verification. Provide clerical support including data entry and managing correspondence. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area. Skills Proficiency in front desk operations within a medical office setting. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Experience in medical administrative support with a focus on clerical tasks. Excellent office management skills to streamline daily operations. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations. Proficient in using eClinical Works or similar electronic health record systems is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service. Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
