Work schedule is Monday-Friday, no weekends. Some day travel to our other offices is required. The medical scribe supports our ophthalmologists by accompanying the provider during patient encounters and performing documentation on the provider’s behalf. Under the direction of the provider, the scribe enters information into the patient’s electronic chart. All documentation is reviewed, edited, and approved by the provider. This would be a great opportunity for individuals who are on a pre-med track and looking to gain practical, paid experience in a clinical setting before applying to an

MD/DO/PA/NP

Position Requirements:

High school diploma or GED. Background in pre-health sciences, biology, or other similar field preferred. One year experience in a clinical role preferred. Basic knowledge of medical terminology, PC applications and software and English grammar/punctuation. Self-motivated with good communication skills. Ability and willingness to take direction and be a member of a team providing patient care, including adapting to the provider’s working style. Ability to work on-site 40-42 hours per week and recognize the importance of attendance and punctuality. (Our providers rely on you to be in clinic.) Recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality.
