The ideal candidate will assist Doctor by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time, ensuring that all medical records are complete and up-to-date. This role is crucial in enhancing the efficiency of medical practice, allowing providers to focus more on patient care. A strong understanding of Ophthalmology terminology and experience is essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Accurately transcribe patient encounters during examinations and procedures in the medical office or emergency room setting. Document medical histories, physical exams, and treatment plans as directed by healthcare providers. Maintain organized and comprehensive medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure all necessary information is captured for each patient visit. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively to input and retrieve patient data. Ensure timely completion of documentation to support efficient workflow within the practice. Stay updated on medical terminology, procedures, and documentation standards. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or related environment preferred. Strong knowledge of Opthalmology terminology. Familiarity with medical records management and documentation practices. Proficient typing skills with the ability to transcribe information quickly and accurately. Experience with Ophthalmology EHR systems is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare providers and patients.
