The MA will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers by assisting in patient care and accurately documenting patient encounters .The ideal candidate will have excellent typing skills and a passion for contributing to patient care. Responsibilities Room patients and gather pertinent information (MIPS) from patient prior to seeing the provider Prep rooms and stock rooms with supplies as needed. Enter dictated information into the EMR (Scribe) Complete prior authorization process for biologics and other medications Request referrals online, via fax, or phone call Scan in Reports Answer Nurse Phone Line Answer patient questions regarding labs or other procedures Act as back-up for other staff members as needed Other duties as directed by the Office Manager or provider Experience Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required. Proficiency in typing and using electronic health record systems is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
