MEDICAL SCHOOL

( MD track) to become a physician but need to gain patient/clinical experience to strengthen their applications in this extremely competitive environment. Successful applicants will become certified medical assistants interfacing in all aspects of the clinic and will hone their medical vocabulary as well as interpersonal skills while helping to manage patient affairs. Research and publication opportunities are available. Attention to detail and willingness to work hard are critical characteristics of a successful applicant. Duties will include but are not limited to: rooming patients, collecting history, and presenting information back to the physician, performing electronic medical record documentation during the patient visit, assisting the physician during the patient visit (i.e. prepping biopsy tray, collecting biopsies, assisting with in-office procedures, and other delegated responsibilities)scheduling appointments, performing inventory, communicating with patients, labs, pharmacies, and other physician offices.

Requirements:

PT or FT proficiency with computers excellent work ethic ability to work in a fast-paced environment exceptional interpersonal and professional skills written and verbal command of the English language ability to follow instructions, protocols ability to retain information and build upon it must be teachable self-motivated to learn attention to detail adaptable to change healthcare experience a plus minimum 18month-24 month commitment COVER LETTER and
