Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant Global Rehabilitation Medical PC Rego Park, NY 11374 Job description A medical practice is seeking a motivated assistant to a busy interventional musculoskeletal rehabilitation physician. A full-time position is offered. Duties will include medical transcribing and assistance with various medical procedures. Previous experience in a medical office setting is not required, but preferred; we will train a qualified applicant on various aspects of ultrasound/fluoroscopic imaging as assistance with injections will be required with those modalities; A good typing speed is a must. We will train you to work on our EMR. We will also introduce and train you on basics of medical coding and billing. College background preferred, applicants with future medical school aspirations encouraged to apply as this position will provide a learning opportunity; weekend hours will be required. No remote work assignment. You will be performing medical transcription on our electronic medical record. You will be working with a team that includes multiple nurse practitioners/physician assistants. Document medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Ensure that all documentation reflects the patient’s condition and care provided. Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure precise documentation. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve workflow and patient care processes. Experience Previous experience in a medical office is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and electronic health records (EHR) systems is highly desirable. Excellent typing skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate transcription of medical information. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
