POSITION SUMMARY

Provides medication assistance and personal care to the residentsof the community, following the guidelines provided by CIEL SeniorLiving.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Supports the mission, vision, andgoals of the organization, upholding and promoting the companyculture and vision. Complete documentation per Ciel standards toensure that all care services are provided and that resident needsare met. Participate in narcotic count at shift change, ensuringaccurate documentation of inventory count. Completes administrationof medication as directed, ensuring compliance with “Rights ofMedication Administration”. Participates in weekly medication cartaudits, as assigned. Assists in timely re-ordering of medication.

Maintains cleanliness of medication room and medication cart.

Ensures that all new medication orders are faxed to the pharmacy toobtain medication in an accurate and timely manner. Inform familieswhen mail order medicines need to be reordered. Follows PhysicianOrder Protocol to ensure proper processing of orders. Document andreport any resident change of condition/status per policy. Assistsin creating and maintaining resident charts in electronichealthcare record (EHR). Participates in community WellnessPrograms as assigned. Obtains and records residents’ vital signs(temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration), weight, asdirected. Observes resident to detect response to specified typesof medications and prepares incident report if indicated ornotifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions. Ensures calllights are answered in a timely manner and attend to unanticipatedresidents needs as soon as possible after the call light isengaged. Appropriately addresses associate, family, and residentconcerns to promote satisfaction and good communication. Is fullyknowledgeable of the fire evacuation and disaster policy of thecommunity and participates as assigned in fire and disaster drills.

Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent personal and healthinformation concerning residents and staff. Demonstrates anunderstanding of compliance and ethics program policies andprocedures. Completes all mandatory compliance, HIPAA and state andfederal regulatory training as required. Oversee resident aidesduring the assigned shift, ensuring assigned tasks are completed bycall care team members. Attends training courses at community andmaintains up to date monthly, quarterly, annual training throughdesignated Learning Management System (LMS). Attend all requiredall staff meetings. Other duties as assigned, and which relate tothe success of the community and the care, comfort, and happinessof our residents. CB Requirements

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS &SKILLS

High School Diploma/GED. 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Be at least 18 years of age. Ability to communicate clearly andeffectively. Medication Administration training/certification perstate requirements. Must meet all health requirements. ExperiencedCaregiver of Certified Nursing assistant certification per staterequirements CPR certification. Must have strong understanding ofthe English language sufficient to read, write, communicated.
