Medication Technician/Caregiver 7am-7pm Shift Sanctuary by Strive – Bear Lake 5030 Cub Lake Drive, Apopka, FL 32703 Company Over Sanctuary by Strive at Bear Lake specializes in providing compassionate and professional care for individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Our assisted living facilities serves in Fern Park, Strive at Fern Park, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our residents. Summary We are seeking a dedicated Medication Technician/Caregiver to join our team in our small setting of 15 bed memory care. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications to residents while ensuring their safety and well-being. Your contributions will be vital in supporting our mission to provide exceptional care to individuals with memory impairments. Responsibilities Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols. Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications. Maintain accurate medication records and documentation in compliance with regulations. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care for residents. Educate residents and their families about medication management and health concerns. Assist in the assessment of residents’ health status by measuring vital signs as needed. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in medication administration. Requirements Valid certification as a Medication Technician or equivalent experience required. Strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology. Experience in medication administration within a healthcare setting is preferred. Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation skills. Compassionate attitude towards working with individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
