Job Summary:
- We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Aides/Medication Technicians (Med Techs) to join our team.
In this role, you will provide essential support to residents and patients in [nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or specified healthcare settings]. You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications as prescribed, and ensure the highest quality of care and comfort for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents/patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.
Administer medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, ensuring accurate dosages and adherence to prescribed schedules. Monitor residents’ health status by observing changes in behavior, physical condition, and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare personnel. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and medications administered in accordance with facility protocols. Support residents’ dignity and respect their autonomy while providing personal care and assistance. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences. Engage residents in meaningful activities that enhance social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Maintain cleanliness and safety in resident living areas, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment. Assist with light housekeeping duties related to residents’ care areas, including laundry and tidying up. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education programs as required.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or related fields is a plus.
Valid certification as a Medication Technician or a comparable state certification. Previous experience in a caregiving role within a healthcare setting (nursing home, assisted living, hospital) preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, their families, and team members. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, managing tasks and priorities. Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices. Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others. Flexible availability, including the willingness to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, transfer, and reposition residents as needed, utilizing proper body mechanics. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods. Must be able to grip and manipulate equipment used in providing care.
