Medication Technician 7A-7P & 7P-7A Highlands at Norcross 680 Holcomb Bridge Road, Norcross, GA 30071
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to residents according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Assist with the coordination of medication refills and orders
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain resident confidentiality
- Provide care and support to residents in a compassionate and respectful manner
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the overall well-being of residents
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Medication Technician or similar credential
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in memory care or dementia care
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and medication administration practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document medical information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, families, and staff members
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
