The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by Assisting patients at the front counter and Drive-Thru window as well as assisting in other areas as needed. Ensuring accurate medication dispensing, assisting patients, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. This position is essential in providing excellent patient service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the pharmacy within a hospital or acute care setting. Responsibilities Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications and other patient care needs. Maintain accurate inventory levels of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage conditions. Process prescription orders, verifying patient information and medication details for accuracy. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and guiding patients through medication administration processes. Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations during medication preparation. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support critical care initiatives and enhance patient outcomes. Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety standards and protocols within the pharmacy environment. Skills Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, including acute care settings and critical care practices. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on effective communication and empathy. Proficiency in medication administration procedures and familiarity with IV infusion processes. Knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure safe handling of medications. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
