Medication Aide Springview Senior Living Burlington, NC 27215 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing quality care to patients, ensuring their medication needs are met while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. This position is essential for those who have experience in acute care, home care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Duties Administer prescribed medications to patients as directed by healthcare professionals. Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
MUST BE 21.
Scrub attire required. Assist in patient care activities such as bathing, activities, dressing, and feeding. Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information as necessary. Provide support for hospice care and assist with tube feeding when required. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding medication management and care plans. Uphold safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Requirements Previous experience in acute care or home care settings is preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding basic medical terminology. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
