Weare currently seeking an experienced:
MEDICATION
TECHNICIANFull-Time, Nights – (11pm-7am)
Job Description:
Administersmedication as directed in the Medication Administration policiesand procedures manual except injections, medication given byg-tube, j-tube or nasogastic tubes and IV medications. Assumes anyduties assigned within the bounds of professional certification.
Continues education by attending workshops, in-service classes andreading literature. Performs procedures such as vital signs, givingenemas and suppositories, etc. Performs documentation as requiredby facility policy. Reports any medication errors immediately.
Counts controlled substance medications, give/take report andfollow proper sign-in, sign-off procedures when changing shifts.
Communicates with resident, families, friends, and visitorsappropriately.
Job Requirements:
Registered on the NAI registrywith no allegations of abuse or neglect. Successful completion ofthe state approved training program including competency evaluationand facility orientation program.
