Medication Technician Dunmore Assisted Living 200 Coventry Drive, Oxford, NC 27565 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe administration of medications to residents in assisted living and senior care environments. This position requires a strong understanding of medical documentation and a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals with varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with established guidelines and protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation for each resident, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Assist residents with tube feeding and other specialized care as needed. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide support in daily living activities while fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the medication administration area. Skills Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices and procedures. Understanding of physiology and its application in senior care settings. Experience in assisted living or senior care environments is preferred. Familiarity with home community care practices and hospital settings. Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
