Medication Aide Alpha Concord Plantation 2809 Old Concord Road, Salisbury, NC 28146 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medication Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care and have experience working with individuals with disabilities. As a Medication Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive their medications safely and effectively while fostering a supportive environment. Duties Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for each resident, utilizing systems such as Epic and Cerner. Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report any concerns to nursing staff. Assist in the daily living activities of residents, providing support with personal care and mobility as needed. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each resident. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to medication administration and patient care. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills related to patient care and medication management. Experience Previous experience as a Medication Aide or similar role in an assisted living or healthcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is essential for understanding patient needs and medication effects. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical documentation processes and electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential for success in this role.
