Wellness and Compliance Support Assistant/Medication Technician

Arch Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 Position Summary AbodeCare of McKeesport is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve in a dual-capacity role as a Wellness & Compliance Support Assistant and Medication Technician . This unique position is ideal for a candidate who is skilled in direct resident care, knowledgeable in medication administration, proficient with computers, and eager to assist in ensuring regulatory compliance in a small, close-knit 45-bed personal care community. Key Responsibilities Medication Technician Duties Accurately administer medications and treatments as prescribed Document administration in the electronic medication administration record (eMAR) Monitor residents for medication side effects and notify nursing staff of concerns Ensure proper medication storage and handling Wellness Assistant & Compliance Support Assist the Director of Wellness with documentation audits and compliance tasks Support the Executive Director with record-keeping related to regulatory reviews, including Department of Human Services (DHS) inspections Help track staff training, resident assessments, and medical appointments Assist with electronic record updates, filing, and communication with healthcare providers and family members Participate in internal audits and policy implementation Administrative/Computer Support Input data into wellness software and maintain accurate resident records Generate reports and assist with compliance binders and inspection prep Communicate via email and phone with professional clarity Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Current PA Medication Technician Certification (or willingness to obtain) 1+ year experience in a personal care or assisted living setting preferred Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, EMAR systems, databases) Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently Working Conditions This is an in-person role that may include a combination of desk work, resident care assistance, and med pass duties.
