As a CertifiedMedication Specialist, you’ll be responsible for administeringroutine medications to the people we serve as directed by theprescribing physician and providing support as requested by thesupervisor.

Administer proper medication as directed by prescribing physicianand in accordance with state certification, company policy, and CMAstandards. Document daily administration of medication and notifyappropriate personnel of any medication errors. Monitor medicationinventory by properly disposing of any expired medications, andlogging in new and refilled meds to ensure proper medicationcounts. Monitor assigned home’s inventory for proper labeling ofmedications Detect, document and address signs of illness or injurywhich warrant medical or nursing intervention and perform first aidaccording to approved training as needed.
