POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsibilities:
Provide quality resident care as indicated on the care plan Promote residents’ independence Provide assistance with housekeeping and laundry Medication administration depending on state regulations Participate in community’s Life Enrichment Activities, events and outings, while encouraging residents to attend Assists residents with their daily medications, treatments and resident care as assigned and within the scope of practice, policy and procedures and per state and federal regulations. Observe and verify medication is ingested or applied as directed. Maintain accurate, complete and confidential resident medication and care records according to established procedure and state law. Keep medicine carts and areas orderly, clean and appropriately stocked and locked. Maintain upkeep and cleanliness of medicine carts and medication rooms Maintain all required licenses/certifications and continuing education as required by state law, if applicable. Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Experienced Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) per state requirements Experience with handling medication perferred High School Diploma or GED or 1-2 years of relevant experience Medication certification may be required per state or board regulations The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time and work overtime as needed The ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
