In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications and providing essential support to patients in various settings, including assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being of individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring hospice care and support for disabilities. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications to patients in accordance with established protocols and physician instructions. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects related to medication. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient responses. Assist with daily living activities and provide personal care as needed. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families regarding medication management and patient care plans. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all aspects of patient care. Provide support for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments, ensuring a safe and comforting environment. Participate in ongoing training and professional development Experience Ideal candidates will possess: Active Certification as a Medication Aide in the State of Tennesse Experience in hospice care, home care, assisted living, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to patient care. Previous experience in assisted living setting is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
