Job Summary The Clinical Associate is responsible for supporting nurses, physicians & other hospital staff in administering holistic care to patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities and assisting with day to day tasks. Functions in multiple roles on the designated unit to provide clerical, secretarial and house keeping support. Works collaboratively with nurses, physicians, patients, ancillary services and other internal and external customers to provide quality patient care. Pay Range Minimum $21.00 Midpoint $21.00 Maximum $22.00 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Required:
Clinical work experience in a healthcare environment or completion of CNA training or EMT training or Medical Assistant training or student nurse who has completed at least one (1) quarter or semester of clinical experience. Education
Required:
High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
Preferred:
Post high school education classes related to healthcare. Enrolled in nursing school with completion of one (1) quarter or semester of clinical experience. Training
Required:
Comprehensive Crisis Management Certification within 90 days of hire. Specialized Skills
Required:
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job. Ability to follow computer downtime procedures. Strong knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to prioritize assigned tasks and meet all expectations for the completion of assigned roles. Effective interpersonal communication skills. Ability to consistently function in an environment that includes varying unpredictable or crises situations. Ability to think critically; work independently; manage multiple assignments; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
Preferred:
Bilingual, Previous hospital/mental health experience related to de-escalation and creating a safe and therapeutic environment. Licensure
