The ideal candidate will provide 1:1 support, facilitate safe outings, and promote independence, safety, and engagement in meaningful activities..
Responsibilities Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and supervision to the consumer in community settings (e.g., parks, stores, recreation centers).
- Follow the individual’s behavioral support plan and reinforce positive behaviors.
- Ensure health and safety of the individual at all times.
- Assist with basic life skills, social engagement, and community access.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation of activities and behaviors.
- Communicate regularly with the behavior analyst and supervising team.
- Transport the individual using your own insured and reliable vehicle .
Daily Companion notes and documentation
Skills Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with individuals with developmental or behavioral disabilities (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle required.
- Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening.
- Completion of APD-required trainings (Zero Tolerance, HIPAA, Core Competencies).
- Strong communication skills and ability to respond calmly to behavioral challenges.
