The purpose of the TMS Technician role is to provide exceptional care to patients by administering TMS treatments under the supervision of a physician. TMS Coordinators are responsible for timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical records system, providing patient assessments such as rating scales (PHQ-9, GAD-7), and working closely with physicians and clinical team to monitor patient progress.

www.gia.miami Qualifications A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in a mental health or psychiatric office setting. Must pass a background screen and urine drug screen. CPR/BLS certification preferred. Knowledge of TMS and TMS certification preferred. Responsibilities Administer TMS treatments according to specific physician protocols. Set up the TMS medical device and monitor all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy Provide excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion while developing trust and rapport. Provide support, reflective listening, and compassion to patients struggling with depression and/or anxiety. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup throughout treatment. Administer psychiatric rating scales and conduct thorough patient assessments prior to treatment. Record session notes in EHR, communicate with physician(s) as required, and conduct patient consultations. Perform in other capacities as needed.
