Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst Job Summary:

The Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) provides high quality ABA treatment, support, and training to maximize progress for every client under the supervision of the designated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The job includes leadership and coordination of care between Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and Behavior Technicians assigned to the team. The BCaBA will provide direct care to clients of Circle City ABA in addition to supporting the BCBAs and supervising RBTs. The BCaBA operates as a trainer for technicians on behavior intervention plans, safety procedures, and competencies on the RBT task list. The BCaBA will work directly and indirectly, using ABA best practices for our clients, families and staff through development and supervision of individual treatment plans, behavior interventions, training of direct care staff and include areas of expertise to be shared with others (i.e. research, training, specialized programming, behavioral challenges, etc.). The BCaBA provides services remotely as necessary to ensure clients and staff are supported across multiple center locations. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Responsibilities :

Essential Functions Directly implements skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans written by supervising BCBA. Timely submissions with all required clinical documentation per timelines determined by individual payors. Development and ongoing monitoring of Individual Treatment Plans under the direct supervision of BCBA. Ensuring compliance with all client’s insurance-related requirements, complete, on-time, proper storage and labeling of clinical notes for each client interaction. Facilitate regular family/caregiver meetings and trainings to ensure open communication, data review, progress updates, generalization and transition planning, and recommendations for future programming and treatment under the direct supervision of BCBA. Prepare analysis and summary of data, responses to caregiver questions, add updated information such as new insurance, change of care or medication or behavior change. Review schedule and adjust for any time out of therapy for make-up days or increase or decrease of necessary treatment hours. Submission of all required documents for internal and external audits. Maintaining HIPAA and best practices as determined via qualitative and compliance reviews. Keep licensure, certification and credentialing current. Operations Initial and ongoing assessment and evaluation of skills and needs for each client under the supervision of BCBA. Regular staff training and supervision, using reliability checks and contextual feedback for staff enhancement and client progress. Identifying clients and families in need of additional supports, such as families of clients with high risk behavior, social skills groups, family support groups, and providing/referring families for all indicated supports. Ensure productivity and efficiency by maintaining billable expectations. Individual Rights Maintain the confidentiality of all individual information. Ensure that you treat all individuals fairly, and with kindness, dignity, and respect as stated in Circle City ABA policies. Report all allegations of physical, verbal, mental, or sexual abuse to include involuntary seclusion, neglect or misappropriation of the individual’s belongings or money. Honor refusal of treatment request. Report such requests to the individual’s team.

Requirements:

Minimum Job Qualifications Education Current BCaBA certification and licensure Bachelor’s degree in ABAI-accredited undergraduate program OR Bachelor’s degree in related field with completion of behavior-analytic coursework through a Verified Course Sequence Completion of Supervisor Training Experience Minimum 2 years working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Management and leadership experience and ability to interact with families, staff, clients, and community partners for coordination of care. Assessment of skills and deficits across a variety of domains using appropriate assessments such as ESDM, PEAK, Vineland, VB-MAPP, AFLLS, EFL, and others. Development, implementation, and systematically monitoring skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction programs. Writing clinical notes, transition and discharge summaries, and professional correspondence.

ABA methodologies such as:

Functional Analysis, Antecedent Strategies, Discrete Trial Training, Verbal Behavior Analysis, Errorless Learning, Incidental Teaching, Shaping, Chaining, Modeling and Imitation, Preference Assessments Communicating and collaborating effectively with caregivers and other professionals. Supervising RBTs and ensuring all requirements are met.
