Shift:

7pm-7:30am, 7am-7:30 pm, 3pm-11:30pm or 11pm-7:30am.

Contract:

13 week assignment

Job Duties:

Under direct supervision, provides basic patient care and works with patients/clients to develop daily living skills. May take vital signs. Responds to patients call for assistance. Assists in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs. Bathes, grooms, shaves, and dresses clients Conducts activities for recreation and socialization. Ensures safety and security of clients. Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves. Observes and documents patient data, behavior, and activity. Prepares clients for treatment or examination. Provides client care by supplying and emptying bedpans, applying dressings and supervising exercise routines Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.

Provides subprofessional occupational and/or physical therapy services to physically and/or developmentally disabled patients Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units. Consistently utilize the principles of the recovery model when engaging Patients. Maintain acceptable standards of patient care consistent with Joint Commission, CMS, and Department policies, including diet and physical activity.and performs other duties as assigned.

Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with Supplier leave policy Responds to hospital codes as appropriate. Performs approved techniques to prevent and safely manage aggressive behaviors Requirements High school diploma or GED and 2 years of continuous experience providing basic patient care in psychiatric healthcare is required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and have the strength to push and pull and stand for long periods of time. Current Life Saver Certification is required. Two (2) continuous years of experience providing basic patient care in psychiatric healthcare is required. Knowledge of documentation principles. Knowledge of Bowel Elimination and proper actions. Management of Seizures and necessary follow-up actions. Knowledge of safe transferring protocols. Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control processes.
