Shifts:
hours of work are assigned on a weekly basis and can be compromised of any day or shift necessary to assure adequate staffing, including weekends, nights and holidays.
The Position:
This is a direct care, entry level position, responsible for a variety of duties relating to and primarily concerned with implementing the students’ and clients’ treatment and educational programs. These direct care individuals provide the basic staff coverage necessary for attending to the students/clients at the school, residential, and workshop programs. The position affords a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience with students and clients conduct, behavior, emotional, and psychiatric problems as well as those intellectual disabilities or on the autism spectrum. The position reports to the teachers, weekend supervisors, residential supervisors, workshop coordinator and monitoring/QF staff.
Educational/Work History Requirements:
High school diplomaPrior experience in human services/education preferred but not necessary.
Stamina and physical endurance for a physically demanding schedule.
Candidates should possess excellent problem solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to function with moderate supervision.
Essential Duties of the
Position:
Must be willing to learn about the JRC students/clients, their disabilities and the forms of treatment provided at JRC.Must be willing to be responsible for the safety and welfare of the JRC students/clients.
Must be able to work consistently the entire shift with break.
Must be able to attend various athletic events with students/clients.
Must be able to prepare meals for the students/clients.

ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English.20/20 vision with corrective lenses.
Ability to stand and walk for at least 80% of the workday.
Ability to sit for at least 20% of the workday.
Kneeling, stooping, crawling, reaching, crouching, pushing, pulling and handling during treatment process.
Ability to lift up to 200lbs with assistance.
Normal depth perception is required.
All entry level staff may be required to work both weekend days and all holidays.
