Role :

Rio Staffing is seeking a compassionate and responsible Infirmary Assistant on behalf of our camp client located in Maine. This is a seasonal opportunity ideal for individuals with a healthcare background in pediatrics and a passion for adventure. A love for working with children is essential, along with a proactive and team-focused mindset. As an Infirmary Nurse Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting camp healthcare operations under the direction of the camp’s medical team. This is a rewarding chance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, outdoor, and youth-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities :

Attend a camp health orientation conducted by the Nurse Coordinator and Medical Director. Assist in maintaining health record files, treatment logs, and insurance documentation. Support the completion of reports such as accident forms and insurance claims, ensuring timely submission. Assist in monitoring medical supplies, equipment, and medication inventory. Contribute to daily health reporting related to camper/staff visits, illnesses, and injuries.

Qualifications :

Recent graduate with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN) Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain license before the start of the camp season Must be 21 years of age or older Pediatric or camp health experience is a plus but not required Ability to live on-site for the duration or the majority of the camp season. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Enthusiasm for working with kids and creating a safe, supportive environment
