This position assists with direct patient care and unit operations. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs a variety of duties to support the department as it relates to direct patient care. Job Description:
Responsibilities:

Maintains proper physical and emotional patient environment. Performs clerical duties to enhance the functioning of the unit. Provides assistance in personal hygiene and activities of daily living. Assists the RN with general patient care. Assists with body movement and ambulation.

The ideal candidate will have:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Enrolled in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course within one year of hire required. Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) required within 18 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS); and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) required within 6 months of hire. A minimum of one year of directly related work experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in suite of Microsoft applications is desired. Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
