Youth Peer Advocate – Niagara County

POSITION SUMMARY

Are you passionate about supporting youth who are working through emotional or behavioral challenges? New Directions is hiring a Youth Peer Advocate in Niagara County! You’ll work directly with young people to build confidence, develop skills, connect them with supports, and co-lead peer support groups. If you’ve been there yourself and are between the ages of 18-30, we’d love to hear from you! This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Pay and Benefits + 3 weeks of paid time off your first year, not including an additional 13 agency holidays + Access to life, dental, and medical insurance + 401k with up to 3% agency matching + $17.33 – $18.39/hr your first year + Flexible Monday – Friday schedule, with some day and evening availability required + Join our company, where over 30% of our staff have been with us for 10 years or more Minimum Education and/or Professional Qualifications/Skills + Be an individual 18 to 30 years old who has self-identified as a person who has first-hand experience with, emotional (mental health), behavioral challenges, and/or co-occurring disorders(required) + A high school diploma, high school equivalency preferred, or a State Education Commencement Credential (e.g. SACC or CDOS)(required) + A valid driver’s license(required) We want to emphasize that the preferred qualifications are not required and that we are committed to helping our future colleagues develop these preferred skills.
