As a Mental Health Aide | Mental Health Technician , you will bepart of a team providing medically necessary mental healthtreatment services and direct supervision to children andadolescents experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, andpsychiatric problems, and/or experiencing chronic or acute mentaldisorders which require active treatment.

3PM – 11PM Our workforce programprovides additional opportunities for compensation outside of the40-hour work week where a staff member may earn up to $300 per4-hour shift. Observe client behavior andintervene appropriately, as dictated by policy and individualclient treatment plan. Document client treatment interventions,behavior, and progress. Report significant client changes inbehavior, attitude, and/or physical condition to appropriatepersonnel while consistently evaluating client behavioral andemotional issues. Assist Mental Health Worker in theircollaboration with the Educational team and client’s Mental HealthTherapist to implement the individualized treatment plan. Implementthe daily activity schedule and structure and coordinate clientactivities, such as Family Night, Structured Recreation, etc.

Facilitate and document various psycho-educational groups viastandardized curricula. Conduct scheduled and random head counts toprovide effective people security. Conduct outside buildingsecurity checks when working on overnight shift. Complete securitycalls to Night Supervisor when working on overnight shift. Supportthe Abraxas philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven KeyPrinciples of care. Demonstrate appropriate use of Safe CrisisManagement techniques and skills.

Hiring Requirements:

High SchoolDiploma or GED Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s LicenseMust be 21 years of age or older Must be able to pass physical andpre-employment drug/alcohol screening Must pass criminal backgroundcheck investigation Flexibility to work overtime as required.
