Grade Point Resources is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Wellness Assistant to support students with special needs within the Burrell School District . This full-time position involves working under the direction of a special education teacher to provide individualized support with essential wellness and personal care needs. The ideal candidate will approach their role with empathy, professionalism, and a strong commitment to promoting student independence and dignity. You will play an essential part in supporting students’ physical and emotional well-being, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with personal care tasks , such as toileting and grooming, in a respectful and discreet manner Assist with the implementation of individualized care plans developed by the special education team Help students develop independence in daily living and personal hygiene routines Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure a safe and supportive classroom environment Monitor and encourage students’ well-being, engagement, and emotional regulation Provide consistent, nurturing support that fosters students’ growth, dignity, and inclusion

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED (required) Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred) Ability to perform personal care duties with professionalism and compassion Strong interpersonal and communication skills Must be reliable, patient, and supportive in high-needs settings Must have or be willing to obtain all PA clearances required to work in a public school setting CNA background is preferred but not required Why Join Us?
