JOB PURPOSE
- Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Resident Assistant (RA) is responsible for assisting with daily shelter operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- The RA advocates for the mission of TSH and upholds its values; S/he ensures client compliance with program guidelines andprocedures; Assesses clients’ needs and offers practical assistance in an appropriate manner; Delivers services with safety, respect, andeffectiveness; Monitors client behavior; Follows all policies and procedures of theorganization; Prepares rooms for clients, facilitates sleeping arrangements, and storage of personalitems; Maintains order and assists in keeping all assigned areas clean and free of spills, trash and safety hazards; Checks daily activities and chores as assigned toclients; Assists with serving meals; Performs daily meal and occupancycounts and room checks; Prepares intakepackages, Assists in room cleanings and houselaundry, if needed; Completes all agency logs and incident reports in a timelymanner, Provides immediate and professional response to any security / safety emergency or disturbance within or immediately outsidefacility.

- : Able to work in a fast paced environment; Team-player; Works well under pressure, Excellent customer service skills; Committed to work with the homeless and disconnected population; flexible, multitasker, able to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work environment; verbal and numerical intelligence, basic computer knowledge, must possess a high degree of common sense, must possess an empathetic and caring attitude.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or G.
E.D.required.
Demonstrated work experience in a service capacity, requiring reference(s)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must consent to a criminal background check and verification of education and work experiencesUnited States work authorization required
Work Schedule:
Weekends (shifts 1^st^: 8am-4:30pm; 2^nd^: 4pm-12:30am; 3^rd^: 12pm-8:30am) andMon. – Fri. (2^nd^ and 3^rd^ shifts), (Reserve the right for schedule to be adjusted, if necessary)
