This direct care position provides the motivated applicant an opportunity to work on skills development with adults experiencing mental health and behavioral concerns in the context of a weekday social services program. While experience or education is helpful, training will be provided for the right candidate. The schedule will be Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm. REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with persons who are severely and persistently mentally ill preferred. Computer proficiency preferred- particularly in Excel, but also with the capability of learning our electronic health record. Other preferred, but not required, skills include group leadership, food service, teaching practical food service skills, and providing corresponding documentation. Valid Tennessee driver’s license and safe driving record required.
JOB DUTIES
This position is primarily responsible for providing transportation to members not served by public transportation and/or for program activities and food service. The position is also responsible for providing assistance to consumers with daily recreational and therapeutic activities; responsible for direct involvement with members in individual and group projects or activities based on individual treatment goals; responsible for knowledge and carry-through of overall program goals in his/her respective county as directed by the Program Coordinator.
