Nashville, TN 37214 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of behavioral health principles and demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of individuals with behavioral challenges, including those on the autism spectrum. This role involves collaborating with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify behavioral issues and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavior changes in clients. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. Provide training and support to caregivers and staff on behavioral strategies and interventions. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments. Stay informed about current best practices in behavioral health and special education. Experience A background in special education or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is essential. Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with other behavioral health challenges is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient care protocols, patient assessment techniques, and HIPAA compliance is required. Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting focusing on behavioral health will be an advantage.
