Healthcare Activity/ Support Aide Position Available In Windham, Vermont

Healthcare Activity/ Support Aide Thompson House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center 80 Maple Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301 Thompson House is hiring 2 activity/ support aides to engage residents in a variety of social, mental, and physical opportunities between 3pm-7pm daily. Scheduling is flexible, with a goal for the 2 candidates to fill 7 days/ week.

Schedule :

3:00 PM – 7:00 PM with flexibility of days worked The individual should be dedicated to providing personalized, non-clinical care and companionship in a healthcare setting. The focus is on creating a calm, engaging, and respectful environment during the late afternoon/ evening hours. Offer companionship through conversation, active listening, and shared interests such as music, history, and outdoor time. Communicate effectively with the resident to ensure comfort, emotional support, and mental stimulation. Maintain a peaceful and supportive evening environment tailored to the resident preferences and routines. Observe for and report any changes in behavior or comfort level to appropriate clinical staff as needed. LNA/Healthcare experience is a plus but not required. All staff must undergo a Federal and State background check as well as VT child and adult abuse registry checks prior to their start date.
