Summary:
We are currently seeking a social emotional interventionist to work with individual studentsin the school setting for the 2025-2026 school year. Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills required, as is the ability to work well on a team. Energy, patience,flexibility and enthusiasm for children and education are required. Qualified candidates willhave documented education, training and experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in psychology, education, social work, social sciences orother related field for Social Emotional Interventionist. A minimum of an Associates Degree or equivalent credits can be consideredfor a Social Emotional Interventionist assistant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior support plans; Analyze behavior/discipline data to assist in development of student plans; Assist in short-term interventions during behavioral crisis Collect and monitor behavior data as needed; Assists in the transition of students in crisis back to classroomenvironments; Collaborate with teachers and teams in development and implementation of targetedinterventions; Participate in team meetings by gathering, organizing, and sharing student data whereneeded; Direct services as needed, including working with individual students and smallgroups to support positive behaviors and access services; Demonstrates flexibility, common sense, and good judgment; Familiarity with MTSS, Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) and/or Positive Systemsof Behavioral Supports (PBIS),behavior models; Understanding of data tracking and analysis; Understanding of formative monitoring of behavior plans including the use of datadriven models. Interest, willingness, and/or experience integrating and advancing practices of diversity,equity and inclusion
Desired Skills and Experiences:
Experience in Crisis Management and De-escalation; Experience with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Positive BehaviorInterventions and Supports (PBIS); Experience working in a trauma informed setting.
