The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals, particularly children, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is crucial in supporting clients in overcoming challenges related to behavioral issues, emotional disturbances, and developmental disabilities. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst. Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress to assess the effectiveness of interventions. Provide crisis management and intervention as needed to ensure client safety and well-being. Assist clients in developing social skills and coping mechanisms through structured activities. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records related to client care. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support the client’s overall development. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills. Skills Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. Experience working with children or individuals with behavioral challenges. Proficiency in data collection methods for tracking client progress. Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques. Familiarity with addiction counseling and PTSD care is a plus. Background in social work or related fields is beneficial. Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
