The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) of Lakeview Center serves as an acute-care inpatient psychiatric facility for persons with mental health or co-occurring disorders from Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. The CSU is 24-hour hour continuous operations unit that serves voluntary clients as well as individuals admitted to the facility under the Baker Act or Marchman Act. The unit serves individuals 18 years of age and older. Services are designed and implemented to support the recovery, health or well-being of the persons or families served, to reduce symptoms, or needs, and to build resilience and restore, or improve functioning.

Teladoc Position Summary:

A CARE Team Response Technician assists the counselors/therapeutic/nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults and children who are receiving substance abuse, mental health services or co-occurring disorders in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs and/ormunity-based programs.
This position is responsible for, but is not limited to:
Establishing a positive helping relationship with persons receiving services.
Assisting persons receiving services toplete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others.
Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of person receiving services.
Implementing specific interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan.
Monitoring and documenting the person’s progress.

Role Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.
At least one (1) year of experience working directly with seriously mentally ill persons orpleted one year (24 hours) of college classes.
Must have 3 months experience in a related role.
2 years’ experience in acute care setting is preferred.
Knowledge of crisis intervention preferred.
Must be able to pass advanced level CPI Training within three (3) months of employment.
Ability to demonstrate sufficient proficiencypetency in utilizing CPI.
Ability to mentor and train others.
Ability to demonstrate to the exemplary level ouranizations values.
Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families, as required.
Good verbal and writtenmunication skills.
Must be able to passanization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Compensation:

Base pay ranges from $17.50 – $18.75 an hour based on experience with an additional supplemental pay (up to 8% of base pay) for the Central Receiving Facility. Shift differential pay is $2.00 – $4.00 per hour when applicable.
