We believe in the importance of mental health as a major factor in contributing to your quality of life.” Job Summary The Registered Behavior Technician is a professional member of the team who provides clinical as well as administrative services for the Center. The services are performed in accordance with the patient’s individualized treatment. Implement continuous measurement procedures (e.g., frequency, duration). Implement discontinuous measurement procedures (e.g., partial and whole interval, momentary time sampling). Implement permanent product recording procedures. Enter data and update graphs. Describe the behavior and environment in observable and measurable terms. Conduct preference assessments. Assist with individualized assessment procedures (e.g., curriculum-based, developmental, social skills). Assist with functional assessment procedures. Identify the essential components of a written behavior reduction plan. Describe common functions of behavior. Implement interventions based on modification of antecedents such as motivating/ establishing operations and discriminative stimuli. Implement differential reinforcement procedures (e.g., DRA, DRO). Implement extinction procedures. Implement crisis/emergency procedures according to protocol. Report other variables that might affect the client (e.g., illness, relocation, medication). Generate objective session notes by describing what occurred during sessions. Effectively communicate with the supervisor. Comply with applicable legal, regulatory and workplace reporting requirements (e.g., mandatory abuse and neglect reporting). Comply with applicable legal, regulatory and workplace requirements for data collection, storage and transportation. Describe the role of the RBT in the service delivery system. Respond appropriately to feedback and maintain or improve performance accordingly. Communicate with stakeholders (e.g., family, caregivers, and other professionals) as authorized. Maintain professional boundaries (e.g., avoid dual relationships, conflicts of interest, social media contacts). Maintain client dignity. Document in the patient’s chart on a regular basis. Complete all documentation required to provide behavior assistant services: Annual Progress Report (9 months as from the date of first recorded visit or in the case of Medicaid Waiver cases 90 days before the WSC Support Plan Effective Date). Following Annual Progress Reports (one year as from the date of first Annual Progress Report).
Complete monthly documents:
summary report, caregiver competency check, data collection sheets (behaviors targeted for reduction and replacements), service logs, receipt of data. Explain BASP to caregivers (giving modeling and feedback as required). Train and supervise caregivers in the implementation of BASP. Conduct parenting training. Implement BASP as written. Attend clinical discussion meetings and comply with decisions and deadlines as agreed upon. Attend office mandatory meetings. Maintain all documents like data sheets, service logs, competency checks and BASP during every working session so that they can be supervised at any time. Perform other capacities as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Required Education You must be 18 years of age and have completed high school or equivalent/above. Required Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities needed. Required Licenses and Certifications Updated RBT credential with supervisor or valid BA (8-hour training every year)/Board Certification. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Identify the essential components of a written skill acquisition plan. Prepare for the session as required by the skill acquisition plan. Use contingencies of reinforcement (conditioned/unconditioned reinforcement, continuous/intermittent schedules). Implement discrete-trial teaching procedures. Implement naturalistic teaching procedures (incidental teaching). Implement tasks analyzing chaining procedures. Implement discrimination training. Implement stimulus control transfer procedures. Implement stimulus fading procedures. Implement prompt and prompt fading procedures. Implement generalization and maintenance procedures.
