No Residential Advocate Responsibilities:

Monitors self-administration of medications and reconciles medication. Completes admission documents, living skills assessment treatment plans/updates, monthly progress notes, activity notes, discharge documents, environmental/infection control rounds, and monthly fire drills. Teaches/educates residents on basic living skills, kitchen/fire safety, preparation for weather emergencies. Assists/attends to physical maintenance/cleanliness of facility, monitors supplies. Completes maintenance requests, fire extinguisher checks, weekly bedroom/bath or apartment inspections. Facilitates community meetings, social activities/groups. Supports supervisor. Informs supervisor of unusual situations/behaviors, completes incident reporting, communication log entries/shift report notes. Transports residents as needed. Communicates with treatment team. Complies with AHCA regulations/mandates. Reports change in condition to appropriate staff for intervention or hospitalization. Responds to emergencies according to program procedures. Provides direct monitoring/visual contact for residents deemed a risk to self/others. At group homes, monitors food inventory, prepares/serves meals per menu, proper food handling, documents substitutions. Conducts chart reviews for compliance.

Requirements:

Basic cooking skills.

Required Experience:

6 months caretaking OR customer service OR behavioral health OR enrolled in college seeking a psychology, social work, related field degree. FL Driver’s License (Coverage requires drivers to be 21 years old with 2 years driving experience (drivers over 69 may require a Driver’s Road test.)
