Responsibilities Palm Shore is now hiring for an experienced Mental Health Tech for 2nd shift working every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (3pm-11:30pm). Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11-17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The dedicated professionals at Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provide quality mental health treatment for children. HSD/GED REQUIRED.
Preferred:
Bachelor Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services or like field (increase in wages)
Experience:
Preferred six month’s experience in residential psychiatry or other childcare facility/agency experience in comparable position ground: Must be able to pass a Level 2 ground Screening to work in Healthcare (AHCA) and Pre-employment Drug Test.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to set and maintain therapeutic distance with clients; maintain therapeutic boundaries during treatment and following discharge.
Must be able to read, understand, and follow: policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.

May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of Handle with Care prior to assisting with a restraining procedure and within 7 days of employment.

Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
