Behavioral Health Technician Here’s Help Inc. – 4.5 Opa-locka, FL Job Details Full-time $18 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Entry level Behavioral health Full Job Description We are seeking a dedicated male Behavioral Health Technician to join our 24-hour residential program for young men (ages 13-35) recovering from substance abuse. This full-time overnight position (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday to Friday or 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday, including holidays) plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, structured environment and providing positive guidance. Responsibilities include enforcing behavioral expectations, serving as a positive role model, and ensuring the facility’s security and cleanliness. Prior behavioral health experience is required; certifications, specialized training, and college education are highly valued. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong autonomy and collaborate effectively within our team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Account for the whereabouts of each student at all times by conducting hourly head count sheets and overnight head check and recording the results. Provide crisis intervention when needed. Record significant issues in the staff log. Ensure that all program and therapeutic activities occur as scheduled, and that they start and end on time in addition to meals and lights out. Teach and ensure students follow through in carrying out daily living skills including maintaining personal hygiene, keeping personal areas clean, participating in group dining and clean-ups, etc., in accordance with student manual. Perform extensive property searches and physical searches of students, especially those returning to the facility. Complete incident reports within required time frames and document notification to proper authorities in the event of student elopement or other incidents. Assist and monitor visitors to the milieu area of the facility. Monitor students who are prescribed medications take them as instructed and that Medication Administration Records accurately reflect compliance or noncompliance.
