Job Purpose:

The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for direct client care and reports back to the Operations Manager and Program Director any relevant information. A. Job Duties and Responsibilities Follows the company’s policies, procedures and protocols Completes client intakes in EMR upon admission. Types and performs data entry as needed for communication purposes Organizes and uploads documents to client charts (if applicable) Conforms to all necessary quality assurance standards Drug tests clients effectively according to waived testing procedures Greets scheduled visitors and coordinates them to appropriate area or person Follows up with facility rules and expectations, and helps clients comply with contracts Organizes cleaning supplies and materials Makes copies of printed materials “Observe and report” for overall client care Performs all necessary documentation regarding clients (i.e. BAC and UA results) Communicates effectively with Operations Manager and Program Director about completion of job duties and responsibilities B.

Can be counted on to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner with little supervision. Accepts responsibility when necessary to see that the job gets done.

Attendance and punctuality:

Is prompt and on time for work, assignments and meetings. Notifies supervisor prior to lateness or absence. Understands that excess absences pose a hardship on other employees.

Completes all chart related documents and correspondence for assigned clients in a timely manner.

Cares about the quality and accuracy of work being produced. Accepts responsibility for completing job tasks. Uses time productively and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications Education, Experience and Licensure Has a high school diploma or equivalent Preferably has one year of experience in the field of substance abuse or mental health treatment Has CPR and First Aid certifications Knowledge An understanding of counseling and other treatment procedures and protocols for behavioral health and/or substance use disorder-related problems A working knowledge of behavioral health and/or substance use disorder A knowledge of regulations concerning behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment E. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. F.
