Behavioral Health Technician – Day Shift Comprehensive Wellness Centers 720 South Dixie Highway, Lantana, FL 33462 Comprehensive Wellness Centers is seeking qualified Behavioral Health Technicians. As a Behavioral Health tech, you will work with a variety of patients, and you will provide direct care along with physical or psychological support when required. Your most important duty is to ensure patient safety at all times. This is a substance abuse and mental health facility in need of someone with experience in mental health. Qualifications CPR Training A passion for the field of behavioral/mental health The ideal BHT candidate has experience in acute care, detox, partial hospitalization, and /or mental health facilities Strong assessment, organizational skills, and can prioritize care and communicate with the treatment team He/she must be able to establish a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families, display good listening and observation skills, exhibit skills sufficient to adequately gather and record client data specific to the client behaviors Most importantly, he/she exhibits is empathetic and understanding of patient needs Responsibilities Client safety at all times Document client whereabouts incrementally Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with behavioral health needs, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations. Maintain accurate behavioral and medical documentation. Implement applied behavior techniques and assist in crisis intervention when necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to discuss and follow treatment plans. Maintain organizational skills in managing patient care and documentation in acute care settings.
