Part Time and PRN Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) 2.0 2.0 out of 5 stars 5 Bowens Court, Cartersville, GA 30120 This position reports to Program Director. The Behavioral Health Technician will work closely with the medical and clinical team to provide direct services and support to clients. Behavioral Technicians will assist with admission search and logging of personal items, client intervention, client rounds and observation, and urine screens. As an important source of role modeling appropriate boundaries, communication, and responsibility, they will be accountable for reinforcing program structure by demonstrating professional behavior and having regular positive interactions that align with Red Top Wellness Center’s ethical standards. Essential Job Functions 1. Monitor, educate, and assist the client in the performance of daily living skills and activities. 2. Participate in transitioning the clients into the program through ensuring they know the program rules, expectations, and schedule. 3. Ensures client safety by conducting rounds to observe clients on a 15-minute interval. 4. Maintain client and program records in accordance with the facilities policies and procedures and applicable state regulations. 5. Track and maintain the location of each client throughout the day at groups, individual sessions, family sessions, medical meetings, and activities while maintaining thorough documentation of all relevant client interactions. 6. Maintain a high level of ethical conduct and behavior with clients. 7. Adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements. 8. Maintain communication with the medical and clinical team about dynamics, behavior, events, and other required-to-report issues. 9. Assists in emergency situations when directed. 10. Completes documentation in a timely manner with the ability to provide documentation and reports to clinical staff when necessary. Job Responsibilities 1. Perform initial and follow up searches of client’s belongings upon admission 2. Logging of all client’s personal items with photographs in EMR system and getting clients signature on all items received and returned. 3. Observing and documenting all urinalysis screens. 4. Observe and document client’s location in EMR system every 15 minutes 5. Monitor client location and activity throughout the facility 6. Accompany clients to outdoor areas for activities and smoking breaks 7. Log daily attendance into EMR system 8. Assist in mealtime observation and serving when needed 9. Assist in kitchen oversight including ice machine, Coca-Cola machine, coffee maker and tea maker daily upkeep. 10. Responsible for ensuring all snack and drink items are stocked and reporting all needed orders to Program Director. 11. Responsible for ensuring emergency procedures are handled in an orderly manner. 12. Responsible for assisting in client intervention when requested. 13. High School Diploma or equivalent is required 2. One year of experience in mental health treatment is preferred and/or a strong professional reference attesting to a high degree of customer service, punctuality, and professionalism 3. A valid Driver’s License 4. 18 years of age or older 5. Must submit to a background check 6.
