In this role, you will work at our Mental Health housing with women struggling with a range of Mental Health challenges. Your primary focus will be to support residents in developing essential skills while ensuring their safety and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to client care and the ability to manage crises effectively. You will be responsible for making rounds, spending time with the residents playing games or going to the park or recovery meeting; also in charge of logging medications and ensuring housing rules and expectations are followed. Duties Monitor and document client progress, maintaining accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior changes. Provide patient care, ensuring the physical and emotional safety of clients during sessions. Assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills. Make rounds hourly including observe and report to housing director Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills in crisis management and special education strategies. Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or addiction challenges. Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to take vital signs is advantageous. Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles is a plus. Strong crisis management skills and ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively. Must be able to work effectively with a team approach. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective documentation and collaboration with team members. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. A background in special education or related fields is desirable but not mandatory.
