About Us:

We are an outpatient behavioral health and addiction treatment center offering Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and general outpatient services to adults struggling with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD), Substance Use Disorder (SUD), and co-occurring conditions. Our mission is to create a supportive, structured, and compassionate environment that fosters long-term recovery and stability.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to serve as a peer support and operational team member. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. The ideal candidate will have lived experience in recovery, a strong understanding of addiction treatment services, and the ability to multitask in a clinical setting. BHTs in this role will support clinical and administrative functions, including admissions coordination and front desk responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals engaged in treatment for AUD/SUD. Assist in welcoming and orienting new clients during the admission process. Facilitate or co-facilitate non-clinical peer-led recovery groups, as needed. Answer phone calls and respond to general inquiries about programming and services. Schedule intake assessments, follow-up appointments, and assist with documentation. Greet clients, visitors, and referral sources in a professional, compassionate manner. Maintain daily attendance logs and communicate participation updates to clinical staff. Monitor client behavior in common areas and support adherence to program rules. Report any client concerns or safety issues to supervisory staff immediately. Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

Personal experience in recovery with at least 1 year of sustained sobriety (required). Prior experience working in a behavioral health or addiction treatment setting (preferred). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Proficient in basic computer and phone system use. Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain professional boundaries.

Contract Details:

This is a contract/1099 position.

Schedule:

Weekday shifts. Variable shifts, including evenings and some weekends as needed.

Compensation:

17.00/ hr.
