Therapeutic Technician Position Available In Hampden, Massachusetts

Therapeutic Technician Holyoke, MA, United States The TherapeuticTechnician will be responsible for: Provide resident supervision,including special staffing, lobby, smoking, patio, and dining room.

Monitor attendance at assigned activities and maximize participationthrough appropriate motivational techniques. Perform restorative andrehabilitative procedures, as instructed. Supervise residents inperformance of activities of adult daily living, such as daily dentalmouth care, bathing, hair care, and nail care. Visually and audiblyobserve and report on resident?s physical and psychiatric conditions,reporting significant changes to the Nurse Manager and TherapeuticSupervisor. Assist resident with the shaping of new behaviors byproviding timely feedback. Encourage interaction and socialization withstaff and peers, while acting as a role model. Participate in thedevelopment of a plan of care for each resident. Implementindividualized behavioral goals outlined in Care Plan. Assist in thedevelopment of individualized behavioral protocols. Demonstrateknowledge of crisis management techniques through training andcertification in CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention). Respond tobehavioral codes, providing early intervention and de-escalation ofsituation. Participate in in-service education, as provided by facility.

Accompany residents to community appointments, assuring safety at alltimes. Transport residents in facility vehicles, as directed.

PositionRequirements:
