Job Description

Behavioral Health Technician Healing Center of Massachusetts Stoughton, MA 02072 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals, particularly children, to provide support and implement behavior intervention plans. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for clients through effective patient care and behavior management strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health practices and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional. Collect and analyze data related to client behaviors and progress. Provide medication administration as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards. Assist clients in managing crises, employing effective crisis management techniques. Engage in addiction counseling when necessary, offering support to clients facing substance use challenges. Deliver patient care with empathy and professionalism, focusing on the unique needs of each individual. Work collaboratively with families and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies. Support children experiencing PTSD through appropriate therapeutic interventions. Requirements Experience working with children in a behavioral health setting is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and practices. Familiarity with data collection methods for tracking client progress. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to confidentiality. Skills in crisis management and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations. Background in addiction counseling is a plus but not mandatory. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. A compassionate attitude towards individuals facing behavioral challenges.
