We are seeking a Mental Health Technician II to join our team at Pen Bay Hospital! The Mental Health Technicians (MHT) are essential members of the Comprehensive Addiction Psychiatry Services team.
By conducting technical and supportive care functions. The scope of patients range from treatment for acute psychiatric conditions, detoxification from alcohol and other substances, ranging from 18 years through geriatrics.
Summary:
This position consists of 24 hours per week, evening shifts.
The Mental Health Technician II role is responsible for maintaining a safe and therapeutic setting by conducting technical and supportive care functions for patients.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant course required.
License/Certifications:
Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Active Certification on the State of Maine CNA Registry as a Certified Nursing Assistant required.
Experience:
One year experience in a healthcare setting or current enrollment in a healthcare field of study preferred. Six months experience working in a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
