The Human Resources Office of East Mississippi State Hospitalhas a (1) vacant position for Behavioral Health Tech I to beassigned to RPW Nursing Facility

STARTING SALARY

$1836.66 Monthly

WORKING HOURS

Monday – Friday 8a-5p

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field (socialwork/services, education, criminal justice, etc.)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THEFOLLOWING

Complete formal written or typed initial, quarterly, and annualassessments for residents on caseload Conduct individual/group/family psychoeducation Conduct supportive counseling and psychotherapy sessions withresidents Administer psychological tests, scores, and interpret under thesupervision of a master level psychology staff Participate in Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team meetings withother staff, residents, and family providing relevant verbalreports Design, implement, and train staff on resident’s BehavioralManagement Plans of intervention to address problematic symptomsand behaviors under supervision from a master level psychologystaff Conduct or co-facilitate weekly counseling groups Assist nursing facility staff on handling issues with residentspertaining to mental diagnosis and behavioral intervention Assist as needed with education and training of new hiresduring monthly NHD orientation on the role of the Behavioral HealthDepartment at the nursing facility Participate in mandatory continuing education, training, andstaff in-services as assigned Other duties deemed necessary
